'Art at Kings Cross'

I (Lucy-Anne Thea Ronayne) was in deep discussion one afternoon a while back about people it would be nice to interview. Some friends are starting up a magazine and conversation turned to Quentin Blake. For some reason I/someone convinced us/me that he was dead. I was notably sad about it. Blake illustrated one particular image in The Giraffe, the Pelly and me which is one of self’s favorite images from childhood (along with things like Each, Peach, Pear, Plum and Sophie’s Hideaway). He’s also done lots of more grown uppy illustrations which are also beautiful… (despite feeling a bit rude because they could be from Georges Marvelous Medicine, Blue Edition).

Anyway, the point is, Quentin Blake is not dead, He’s alive and well and wonderful. And he should be allowed to draw all over anything he wants. If you happen to find yourself at King's Cross International Future Station of Intergalactic Speed Travel, you can see this;

It’s so much nicer than Paul Day's 'Meeting Place' Sculpture. That thing manages to be both cheesy and creepy at the same time. Here’s the Art at King’s Cross site. Watch out for a floaty speech bubble message from me apologising for thinking Q.B had met an untimely end.
