This weekend I went see La Calisto, a 1651 sex-romp showing in Covent Garden. It turned out to be a magical evening with the spirit of Francesco Cavalli, in a beautiful sexual comedy.A few things I wasn't expecting:
Subtitle screens infront on all the seats.
Calisto is in a leopard-skin swimsuit.
Horny Man-Goat
Women with bow and arrows fired from their hand-bags.
Buki Schiff wonderfully over-the-top costume designs. (above)
God Jove going to extreme measures to seduce Calisto.
25 minute hand-job.
Pregent lesiban.
La Calisto, Royal Opera House, show ends 10th October.
